Ukraine: Ukraine plans to increase agricultural production trade by 5 times with Iran
"Diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the Islamic Republic of Iran are high. I would like to emphasize mutual interest in the agriculture. Thus, in September, it is planned to launch Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Iranian commission that will help to intensify further cooperation in the agricultural sector," said the Minister.
Mykola Prysyazhnyuk also said that in the nearest future foreign trade of agricultural products between Ukraine and Iran may grow up to 3-5 times. Currently, Iran is on the 13th place among the countries that import Ukrainian agricultural products. However, it intends to be 7th.
"To do this, Ukraine plans to increase export of grain and sunflower oil to Iran, as well as expand the range of exported agricultural products. Besides, Ukraine may introduce the achievements of the national selection of cereals and other scientific developments into the agricultural sector of Iran," said Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.
In turn, Iranian journalists expressed their interest in bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Iran in the field of agriculture and noted its mutual benefit.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Ukraine Akbar Ghasemi, Mr. Aliabadi thanked the Minister for the meeting and stressed the importance of the media in the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
