Armenia: Armenia will not be able to export apricots this year

Armenia will not be able to export apricots this year because of damage caused by a hailstorm, Agriculture Minister said in parliament.

Sergo Karapetyan explained that the fruit is not marketable because of being damaged by a hailstorm. However, the processing companies have already informed they would purchase damaged apricots. In particular, Noyan company located in Armavir Region which was considerably damaged by hail, would purchase 3,000 tons of apricots, he said.
