Kyrgyzstan: Innovative technologies in agriculture

Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan to the International Organizations in Vienna Lydia Imanalieva met with newly appointed Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Li Yong.

L. Imanalieva handed over the congratulatory message from Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic E. Abdyldaev to Li Yong on assuming his mission.

The two sides also discussed prospects of strengthening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and UNIDO in such areas as introduction of innovative technologies in agriculture, small and medium enterprises, the development of renewable energy sources and the development of processing industries.

Representative of China Li Yong has been confirmed as the UNIDO Director-General at the end of June 2013 as a result of voting in the Council of Industrial Development.
