Kazakhstan: Kyrgyzstan hopes to expand exports of dairy products to Southern Kazakhstan
Kyrgyzstan hopes for possibility to expand exports of diary products to the southern provinces of Kazakhstan, Deputy Director of the State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety Dzhanybek Sultanov said today at a press conference.
According to Sultanov, inspectors of the Customs Union have visited Kyrgyzstan on July 2013. “They have checked operation of 13 enterprises in Talas, Chui and Issyk-Kul provinces, 11 of which are milk processing plants. Their preliminary report shows the shortcomings. We hope that our companies will be included in the register of companies that can export their products to the Customs Union. Now we speak only about the export of milk and diary products to the southern part of Kazakhstan," Dzhanybek Sultanov said.
He added that only two Kyrgyz enterprises have a right to export diary products to Kazakhstan, 24 kg reports.
Remind that, ban on import of milk to Kazakhstan was imposed in October of 2012. The decision was caused by failure of the National Veterinary Service of Kyrgyzstan to submit complete information on the epizootic situation in the country.
