Tatarstan interested in Belarusian forage conservation technologies

The Agriculture and Food Ministry of Tatarstan is interested in learning the best practices used by Belarusian colleagues in the application of modern agribusiness technologies. The information was released by Mr Marat Akhmetov, Vice Premier, Agriculture and Food Minister of Tatarstan.

The day before a delegation of Tatarstan led by the minister visited the company Unibox in Minsk District for the sake of getting familiar with modern agricultural technologies used by Belarusian agribusiness companies, in particular, the group of companies Unibox.

Mr Igor Klevko, Head of the Information and Technology Department of the group of companies Unibox, said that the guests were particularly interested in forage conservation technologies. In particular, the technology for packed hay was mentioned. Apart from that, the Tatarstan agrarians were interested in the technology to make paste out of humid grain as an alternative to crushing and drying.

During the visit an agreement was reached to hold negotiations soon for the sake of buying a batch of equipment for forage conservation, preparation, and distribution for Tatarstan. The equipment is made by SOOO Ferabox, which is part of the group of companies Unibox.

Marat Akhmetov said he was pleased with the visit. He remarked that the technologies used in agricultural branches of Unibox were very interesting for the Tatarstan side. In his words, the practices of Belarusian colleagues will be useful for specialists of the Tatarstan agrarian sector. The practices should be applied everywhere in Tatarstan, the minister believes.

The group of companies Unibox unites eleven joint ventures. The product choice includes ferrous concrete structures, high-performance import-substituting agricultural machines and other things. Apart from that, Unibox manufactures and installs milking parlors.
