Kazakhstan intends to export 9 million tons of grain in 2013

"The traditional markets for Kazakhstan wheat are Central Asia, Afghanistan and Iran. These countries' consumption is about 6 million tons. In addition we have other contracts," the deputy minister said.
Talking about the quality of products, he noted that 92% of Kazakhstan's grain reserve is hard wheat, grade 3.
"We can say about the quality of the grain harvest in 2013 at the end of the campaign , when the bulk of the grain goes to the elevator, but today it can be said that due to the weather conditions the qualitative characteristics poorer if compared with 2012," the deputy Minister of Agriculture said.
