Russia: Livestock production in Russia continues to increase

Production of main types of livestock production in Russia continues to increase. About it it is spoken in the operational report of Rosstat.

So, for the first five months 2014 the output of meat and an offal of lethal animals grew by 11,5% in comparison with a similar indicator of last year and made 736 thousand tons.

Production of meat and offal from poultry increased to 1,6 million tons (+6%), sausage products – to 679 thousand tons (+10,1%), canned meat (myasosoderzhashchikh) – to 219 million усл. cans (+2,3%), it is noted in Rosstat message.

The output of the watery processed milk in January-May of the current year made 2,3 million tons that is 0,4% more, than last year.

Also Rosstat reports that by the beginning of June in the agricultural, procuring and processing organizations of the Russian Federation there were 11,4 million tons of grain that is 4,3% more, than as of June 1, 2013.

105,4 thousand tons of grain that is 17,5% less, than year before were available the Crimean federal district by the beginning of June of this year.
