Ukraine: In November, India increased imports of Ukrainian sunflower oil

In November 2013 the supplies of Ukrainian sunflower oil in the direction of the largest importer of the commodities - India - increased to the level of 135.54 thsd tonnes, against 68 thsd tonnes in the same month of the previous year, and 130.03 thsd tonnes in October 2013.

Also, Iran increased import volumes of the sunflower seed by-product from Ukraine to 49 thsd tonnes (47.85 thsd tonnes; 9.5 thsd tonnes). Shipments of the Ukrainian commodity to China also grew compared with November 2012 - to 49.99 thsd tonnes (6.12 thsd tonnes), but became lower compared with October 2013 (105.13 thsd tonnes).

In turn, the Ukrainian sunflower oil supplies to Egypt reduced to 24.5 thsd tonnes (31.55 thsd tonnes; 63.4 thsd tonnes), to Turkey - 13.2 thsd tonnes (47.85 thsd tonnes), which was still higher compared with the previous month index (11.5 thsd tonnes).

Generally, in November 2013 Ukraine supplied 349.88 thsd tonnes of sunflower oil on foreign markets, against 294.97 thsd tonnes in the same month last year. At the same time, in the previous month the index totaled 389.09 thsd tonnes.
