Introduction of land market to stimulate development of agriculture, says president

Agricultural sector is a promising sphere for investment in Ukraine, President Viktor Yanukovych said at the 5th International Investment Summit in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, on Thursday, NRCU reports. However, he said that Ukraine's unique potential in the agricultural sector remains unrealized, so in the context of the global food crisis and a rise in the prices of foodstuff Ukrainian agro-industrial complex has great prospects. "I'm sure that the introduction of a fully operating land market will promote this," Yanukovych said.
