Ukraine: Seized more than 8 tons of dangerous animal products

During the last week the State Veterinary Service and the veterinary police seized more than 8 tons of low-quality animal products. For that purpose in all regions there continued inspections of objects the work of which involves circulation of products of animal origin. Specifically, veterinarians inspected 580 companies.

In Ukraine there continue measures to ensure stable epizootic situation and food security. For that purpose in all regions there are mobile teams consisting of veterinary police officers and the State Veterinary Service.

Over the last week veterinarians checked 580 objects the work of which involves circulation of products of animal origin. As a result there were found 169 violations, and to the state income there were charged penalties for the sum of 21.5 thousand UAH.

In general, during the inspections in all regions veterinarians removed more than 8 tons of animal products the quality of which is not confirmed by the appropriate documents.
