LP960, a professional micro civil drone (or UAV, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) from Lehmann Aviation, is now coming with a touchscreen tablet running under Windows8 Operating System.
The new innovative software helps to immediately process all flight data on a touchscreen tablet, laptop or desktop PC.
The LP960 is a professional rugged unmanned aerial platform designed for creating geo-referenced orthomosaics and digital elevation models (DEM), as well as high-resolution images (16Mp on a large APS-C sensor) and live video. This model is designed for diverse civil applications: mapping, agriculture, volume calculation, construction, mining, geosciences and others.
One of the biggest applications of the drone is agriculture. With the LP960, equipped with an advanced autopilot and navigation systems, it has become easy to monitor farms and agricultural fields:
*Real time control of the farm animals/crops
*Detection of the diseased crop
*Preparing land reclamation
*Detection of the areas where the crop is being eaten by rodents or pests
*Spread of locusts monitoring
*Crop/forest trees growth monitoring
*Monitoring of the moisture level in crops and vineyards
*Monitoring of the general state of different plantations
The flight preparation and control has never been easier. The user just has to «draw» on a touchscreen tablet the area of interest, enter the waypoints and the Operation Center will automatically generate missions and program the drone.
The LP960 flies at speeds of 20 to 80 km/h, at a range of up to 5 km. It flies in winds of up to 45 km/h and in temperatures from -25° C to 60° C. The wingspan of the LP960 is 92 cm for a weight of 1250g, including the payload of 350g (mounted camera). The drone is launched by hand and lands in just few meters.
The LP960 is priced at 6990€ (roughly 9100 USD). The kit includes 2 wings, electronic flying platform, common Lehmann Aviation ground control system, power system and a set of accessories. All the parts of the drone are interchangeable. Lehmann Aviation recommends to use Sony Nex4R camera together with this drone, which comes as optional equipment. The new software under Windows8 is included in the kit, free of charge.
Lehmann Aviation rolls out hardware and software upgrades for all of their UAVs on a regular basisenabling the customers to easily upgrade their UAS, free of charge.
